Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack Installation - 2022 Kia Sorento- Video
How's it goin' neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima Stage Two on our 2022 Kia Sorento. The Stage Two is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, and this is gonna help the person that has a bike that they don't want any contact to secure it to the carrier. So if you have a carbon fiber bike, unconventional frame, or a nice paint job and you just don't want that contact, this is gonna be your best option. One of the great things about it, it does have a tilting feature that's gonna allow you to tip over your bike, and it gives you a really decent angle to open up your rear hatch. That's gonna allow you to gain access to your cargo area and keep your bikes loaded at the same time. How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Tire Hold HD from Inno on our 2022 Kia Sorento. The Tire Hold HD is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, and that's gonna allow you to secure your bike to the carrier without making any contact to the frame. That's gonna work mostly for your bikes to have unconventional frames, carbon fiber bikes, or bikes to have a nice paint job to it where you just want no contact to the frame at all. So let's take a look at some of the features as far as having your bike installed on your carrier. Your carrier does have a tilt that's gonna allow you to lower your carrier. In this case with the Sorento, you're not gonna quite make clearance without making contact with our handlebars, so that's something to consider that you may not have access to the back of your vehicle when you have the Tire Hold HD. more

Saris SuperClamp EX 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Kia Sorento- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the SuperClamp EX from Saris on our 2022 Kia Sorento. The SuperClamp EX is a cradle-style bike carrier that has a wheel mount securing system. So essentially, you're gonna have hooks on your wheels in addition to the cradle straps to hold your bike on the carrier. What's unique about the SuperClamp is you have a front and rear hook. A lot of times when you have a wheel-mounted system, it's just a single hook and one single cradle. A wheel-mounted bike carrier is gonna work well for a person that has either a carbon fiber frame that you really don't want contact to, or if you have a nice paint job or an unconventional frame, it makes it a lot easier for those types of bikes. more

The Piston Pro X is a wheel-mount platform-style bike carrier that's made for people who want to carry their bike securely without making any contact to the frame. So if you have a carbon fiber frame or a unconventional style bike, this allows you to secure it just the same as your average bicycle. One real cool feature with this carrier is the fact that you have a tilt. You're just gonna push your lever down and lean your carrier over. And as you can see, it gives you a great amount of clearance where you're not gonna really run the risk of any interference with your pedal or handlebars, giving you full access to the back of your vehicle. more

The NV 2.0 is a great bike carrier for a person that wants to take their bike on the road and also would prefer that there was no contact made to the frame to secure it to the carrier. So this is gonna work well for people to have unconventional frames or step through bikes as well as carbon fiber. So you don't have that downward force going on it. You're just gonna have a single hook on your front wheel that you're gonna ratchet down into position and your rear wheel is held in position by a strap. We're looking at the NV 2.0 in the gunmetal gray finish. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Swagman E-SPEC bike carrier on our 2022 Kia Sorento. The E-SPEC is a great e-bike carrier, and it's gonna give you a really good capacity. It's rated up to 80 pounds per bike, so that's gonna cover a lot of the bikes that are out there on the market right now. The style of the carrier is a platform style carrier, so that's gonna give you two trays or cradles at the bottom where your feet are secured and a hook that actually makes contact with your frame. So, that is a sturdy way to secure your bike. However, if you have a carbon fiber frame, unconventional frame like a step through, it's gonna require either an adapter or I would just suggest if you have a carbon fiber bike, going with something maybe like a wheel mount. more

If you have a carbon fiber frame or unconventional style bike, like a step through, you may want to look towards a different option. Alternatively, though, it'll work for any bike under 70 pounds. The Destination E has a tool-free setup, so it's gonna allow you to just hand tighten everything to fasten it to your receiver. more

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack Review - 2022 Kia Sorento- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE on our 2022 Kia Sorento. Picking a bike carrier for your vehicle, it kind of ties in on how you plan on using it and how you would like it to secure to your bike. For example, the one that we're looking at here is a frame-mount bike carrier, meaning that it's gonna make contact here at your frame and it's also secured in the cradles for the front and rear tire. What's different about this one is the fact that it does have included anti-rattle on the hitch. It's also adjustable to go up to 60 inches for your wheel base and can support your e-bikes up to 80 pounds. We're gonna remove our pin and put the Sport Rider in the tilt position (metal clacking) by pulling the pin on the side, and that's gonna allow us to have access to our cargo area and we're clearing it completely. more

So the XTC is a frame-mounted bike carrier, and this also would. I would consider it to be an entry-level carrier. This is going to basically attach at the frame and your wheels to secure your bike to the frame. If you have a nicer paint job or if you have a bike that carbon fiber, that downward force wouldn't be ideal or a step-through bike, that could also cause issues as far as how you can secure it. You may wanna look towards other options. more

Since it is making frame contact, I wouldn't recommend any carbon frame bikes. more

Saris MHS Bike Rack Review - 2023 Kia Sorento- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Saris MHS on our 2023 Kia Sorento. The MHS is the Modular Hitch System. In this configuration, we have it set up to carry two bikes. It is a wheel-mounted system, where you have a front and rear wheel arm, that's gonna make contact with the wheels. If you have a unconventional frame bike, a nicer paint job, a carbon-fiber bike, step-through, any of those things where you don't want contact or contact's not possible, wheel-mount is gonna be your option. The MHS also has a single strap on your rear wheel to help stabilize, and a front wheel fixed chock for your, and what that's gonna do is basically get a tighter grip on your bike, making it one of the more sturdy wheel-mounted carriers that we have. more

The type of person that would go for something like this is a person that does not mind contact to the frame. So if you have a carbon fiber bike or you have a bike that's an unconventional frame, like a step through, you may need an adapter for the step through. more

This is a very entry-level platform style bike rack, maybe it's just you and a friend who go out, but I'd definitely recommend it to the beginners. The Swagman's gonna be able to hold two bikes, 35 pounds each, so it won't be able to accommodate those heavier e-bikes. And it's gonna have only one tie-down point, and that's gonna be on its frame with this hook here. more

This is gonna be an entry level platform bike rack with the ability to hold up to four bikes, 35 pounds each, so unfortunately it won't be e-bike friendly. Something else to note is three tie down points, one on each tire, and then we have a clamp on the frame that can adjust, so it's gonna be able to fit a lot of different alternative frame bikes. Maybe not all of them but a lot of them. But since we are making frame contact, that means we don't recommend using carbon frame bikes on this rack. Since this is an entry level bike rack there's two drawbacks. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer. And today we're gonna be talking about the Kuat Piston Pro four-bike rack on the 2024 Kia Carnival. This carrier can accommodate four bikes, 40 pounds each. So that's something to keep in mind that it will not be able to accommodate those E-bikes, but it's gonna use a dual wheel mount that's gonna be attaching on your front wheel and your rear wheel. So it's gonna be able to accommodate your carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. Since this is one of our more premium platform style bike racks, it does have a tilt away feature. more

Kuat Transfer V2 3 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Kia Telluride- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer on our 2023 Kia Telluride. Now the Kuat Transfer is going to be a platform style bike rack able to accommodate up to three bikes with an individual weight capacity of 40 pounds each. We're gonna have two main points of contact, the first being our wheel hook here on our front wheel and a strap here on our back tire. What all that really means together is that unfortunately we're not really going to be able to support the weight of our heavy electric e-bikes but we are going to be able to accommodate for those carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. The Transfer is going to be a more premium style bike rack that's going to come with a tilt away feature. more

This is gonna be a completely modular cargo system for your hitch, and what I mean by that is all the pieces you see here this is going to be a full kit but you can get each one separately and you can get more pieces to build on top of it and swap things out. So this kit consists of the swing away arm, the top shelf which adds the second layer to the whole system. It's got the gear locker cargo box in the bottom and the bike rack on top. more

etrailer Tilting 4 Bike Rack Review - 2020 Kia Telluride- Video
Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Kia Telluride, we're gonna be checking out the etrailer.com hitch-mounted bike rack. First impressions, its a pretty solid bike rack, and really simple and straightforward, and this one can hold up to four bikes, so it's gonna be a good, easy way to get a lot of bikes to and from the trails. I do like where it holds your bikes in relation to the back of the Kia's window, it's almost in line with it, so it's not gonna be taking up all your visibility out of the back whenever you look your rear view, so you should be able to see what's going on behind you a little bit, and keep an eye on your bikes at the same time. With that said, I mentioned it's really simple, and the way this is gonna work is it's going to hold your bike down in two spots. All right So you're gonna have these frame straps here that secure it down, and you can position your bike in a manner where it's gonna sit level on its own, and then strap 'em down, so really not a whole lot to it at all. more

Generally speaking, for real nice platform style racks like this, a lot of times they have quite a bit of weight to 'em, and it's really not the case with this one, which is good, because a lot of times electric vehicles aren't rated to handle a ton of weight. more

Yakima StageTwo 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Kia Telluride- Video
Hey Everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack on a 2022 Kia Telluride. This bike rack is gonna be great for carrying a lot of different kinds of bikes as far as its weight capacity, you can carry up to 60 pounds per bike, and because it is a front wheel mount, you can carry a lot of odd shaped frame style bikes, and your carbon frame style bikes, you're not gonna have to worry about it damaging or warping the frame. But this bike rack has a lot of really cool features that all add up to make it a really premium option for bike racks. One of them being an integrated cable lock for each bike rack, they're all gonna be keyed alike with each other as well as on the self-tensioning knob that we'll get into in just a bit. The trays are also ladder styled, so they're gonna be offset just a little bit, it's gonna minimize the bike to bike contact, and it's gonna give you a little bit of extra clearance backing down those steep driveways. Another great feature about this rack is you can tilt it away, and that way, you can leave your bikes on if you need to get anything out of your hatch like your book bags, helmets, waters, whatever you need for your bike ride. more

So you're not gonna damage or warp the frame. One of the cool features about this rack is that you can tilt this bike rack away using that lever. And that way you can access your hatch without having to take the bike off and you can grab your waters, helmets, whatever you need for your bike ride. more

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Hollywood Sport Rider SE Bike Rack on a 2022 Kia Telluride. This bike rack is great for transporting your extra heavy electric bikes as you can carry up to 80 pounds per bike, so it's really great for your fat tire bikes as well. We do have a frame mount here, so if you had your carbon frame style bikes or bikes with a custom paint job, this might not be the best for you. But one of the cool things about this bike rack, even though it can carry up to 160 pounds, is that it still can tilt away. Just be careful when doing so, 'cause you are gonna have all that weight coming down on you. I like to keep one hand on the frame while I pull back on that knob. more

This bike rack is good for transporting your bikes of up to 45 pounds per bike. Since it is a frame mount, you probably wouldn't want this if you had a carbon frame-style bike rack, as it might warp or damage your frame. But, you do get a pretty cool tilt away feature that allows you to tilt the bike away with keeping the bike still on there. And you can still grab your book bags, your waters, helmets, whatever you need for your bike ride. And you're gonna hear it lock back into place. more

So, the Hitching Post Pro is gonna be an excellent bike rack option for you and the family, as we can carry up to four bikes. Now, this is what is classified as a hanging-style bike rack. There's two main types, hanging and platform. So both of these are gonna be good for certain things, they do each have their cons as well. A hanging-style bike rack is gonna be much more cost-effective than a platform-style bike rack. more

Hi, everybody, John here. And today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima RidgeBack four bike rack on the 2022 Kia Telluride. So this is gonna be a hanging style bike rack that's gonna be great if you wanna take up to four bikes. Maybe you're wanting to take the family out on the trail. Though something to keep in mind whenever it comes to the weight capacity, it's gonna be 150 pounds in total, though, if you're carrying one or two bikes, you can have up to 40 pounds per bike. So let's say you have two 40 pound bikes and then a couple of kids' bikes, you can go along those lines if you wanna get the entire family out on a ride. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Kia Telluride SH22B- Video
Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we'll be taking a look at our Kuat Sherpa 2.0 two-bike platform rack, right here on our 2022 Kia Telluride. So the Kuat Sherpa is your middle-of-the-road bike rack with all the premium features you would expect from Kuat. So you can't expand it like the Kuat NV, you don't have as much weight capacity like the Kuat NV, but you still have slightly more weight capacity than your average bike rack, plus you have your carbon frame capacity and you can tilt away to access your hatch. So let's take a look at that. So we have a very easy access lever right over here, and you're gonna want to pull that lever and then just let the Sherpa drop to a tilt. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Kia Telluride S64650- Video
Hey Kia owners, Dustin here at etrailer.com. And today on our 2022 Kia Telluride, we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman XC2 bike rack. The Swagman XC2 bike rack is a platform style bike rack that holds your bike in place by putting pressure on your top two into the included wheel cradles. Now, for that reason, we don't recommend it for carbon fiber bikes, because there is frame contact, but for all your other bikes, it's going to be an excellent choice to get your two bikes down the road. Now, as opposed to your standard trace the owl we do have these hoops and owning to the fact that your round the tire obviously, it's going to work with many size tires because you don't allow that tire to sink down just as far as it needs to support it. And it is getting that support from the down pressure. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Kia Sorento BA22B- Video
Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 platform-style bike rack on a 2021 Kia Sorento. Now, this bike rack is really one of the best looking, I think personally, on the market. It stands out immediately with the nice orange anodizing and gunmetal, but just looks aside, this is also a bike rack for your avid bicyclist. This is a no-frame contact on your bike, which is great. So, I have a carbon frame bike here, and I can mount it, no problem. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Kia Sorento- Video
Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the Swagman XC2 platform bike rack for two bikes on our 2021 Kia Sorento. Now the platform bike rack style is my preferred choice of transporting my bikes because it does give you a really good sense of security. I had hanging bike racks before. I feel like I'm constantly looking in my rear view mirror to make sure that my bikes aren't swaying too much or flailing in the wind. more

How's it going, everyone, Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro on our 2021 Kia Seltos. Now you do wanna keep in mind, our hitch is a Class I, so you are gonna be limited to using two bikes on this rack. But if you do have another vehicle, you can also adapt this rack to work with a two-inch hitch and you can probably get four bikes on it. So that's gonna be really nice. It's gonna work with a lot of different vehicles. more
